CURRENT PROJECTS IN PAKISTAN

Pakistan has a population of over 200 million. There is such extreme wealth among a few and such extreme poverty for many.  We are always moved when we see how the families live, work and get by with such basic living.

Our earnest desire is to see their standard of living and education improved by the various projects we are committed to. Projects such as water filters and providing goats. Showing the Love of Christ opens the doors of opportunity to these very communities. To that end the need for education and support is ongoing and much needed.

We seek to do our part and change whole communities bringing hope and life.

Water Purifiers

These are provided to poor village families in Sindh Province. The cost of one purifier is $75 NZ and they are manufactured from locally sourced earthen jars and gravell. The life expectancy of a purifier is about 5 years and the difference one can make to a families health is remarkeable

Our goal is to raise:  $2,500 – 3,000 NZ

Goats for villages

These are provided to poor families in Sindh Province who are the landless laborers who work the landowners farms.

They are very poor and mostly illiterate. Supplying a pregnant goat to a family provides milk and the beginning of a small flock.

The first offspring of each goat can be given to another family and the process continues. In this way relationships are built which lead to conversations about who Jesus is and why He came into the earth.

Our goal is to purchase 50 goats at a cost of:

$150 NZ/goat. Total: $7,000 NZ

Hannah House

This is a girl’s home in Hyderabad which was forced to close three years ago due to a lack of funding.
The home took girls from very poor families in Sindh province and gave them a free education.

We would like to see the home re-opened.

The cost is $1,500 NZ/month or $17,000/year

Audio Bibles

To be caught with a Bible can be dangerous in parts of Pakistan. For that reason it is safer to have an audio Bible on a device like an MP3 player, which is less obvious.

A request has been made for 500 Audio Bibles at a cost of:

$23 NZ each. Total: $11,500 NZ

These will be distributed in two provinces in Northern Pakistan where believers live under considerable duress.

In Pakistan, Brick kiln workers are bonded to the land owners.  They often have insurmountable debt to pay off. They and their families get stuck in generations of what becomes effectively slavery to the brick kiln owners.Children are also forced by the families debt, to work in the hard labor of the brick kiln.  And therefore they never get an education to break this poverty cycle.
